Bad Acne







Acne is a seditious disease of skin characterized by pus filled pimples or pustules.

Acne begins in early teens, when the oil glands present in the body start producing more sebum.

Dead skin cells blend with superfluous oil and quid up hair cyst in the skin, thus causing acne.

Considering acne is a curse, it is very essential to keep proper care of acne prone skin. Here are certain precautions that can help in diminishing the outbreak of bad acne.

Wash face regularly

It is very important to maintain hygiene of the acne prone skin. Wash your face once or twice a day. Keep the skin clean and make sure to wash the face before going to bed to prevent blockage of pores. At the same time, remember not to wash or rub the face too vigorously but wash it gently with a mild soap and rinse it softly with a clean towel.

Make-up

Those suffering from acne must not apply cosmetics to the face as it can worsen the situation. Avoid oil based cosmetic products containing lanolin’s, red dyes, sodium sulphate and isopropyl myristate. It is better to refrain from make-up as much as possible. Even if you have to apply it remember to take it off before going to the bed.

Don’t scratch pimples

A pimple often causes irritation and itching, but remember not to scratch or squeeze the pimples. It may lead to the risk of pressing bacteria from pimples inside the skin and thus leading to more breakouts. Scratching pimples causes skin infection and also red or brown scars that don’t fade away easily.

Exposure to sun

Some may believe that sunbathing or tanning can heal acne. But the truth is that skin should be sheltered from excess exposure to sun, as it will only intensify the drying of skin. Revelation to sun during some acne medications may cause undesirable side effects.

Maintain personal hygiene

Remember to keep your towel and pillowcases clean every time you use them. Pillows often come in touch with the face while sleeping, so always prefer clean pillowcases. Dirty pillowcases and towels can hold bacteria’s causing skin infection and outbreak of acne.

Drink water

Water is the best healer for many skin ailments. You must drink at least 7-8 glasses of water everyday because water acts as a detoxifying factor to our body. Water can prove to be very beneficial in averting the occurrence of acne.

Staying extra careful and concerned towards your skin can definitely help in avoiding the cause leading to bad acne.
