Weight Watchers
Anyone who wishes to lose the weight must have surely heard about weight watchers. ‘Weight watchers’ is actually a company that offers different dieting products and plans for losing weight.
The company was founded by Jean Nidetch in 1960s. In the beginning, it started of as a discussion group of some people, who discussed on how to lose the weight.
Now the company “Weight Watchers” is running successfully in around thirty countries of the world. In some places, like in United States, the company is locally franchised by some organizations rather than executed by the Weight Watchers International.
Some people think that they are over weight but they actually are not. So, to remove the dilemma of such people, Weight Watchers have a ‘minimum weight’ level. This level clears up the mind and protects them who are actually not overweight.
If the person is found above the minimum weight level and is interested in joining the Weight Watchers program, then can set up the program for losing the weight up to the desired weight loss goal. Weight Watchers also guide their patients to know the ideal weight according to their age, height and gender.
The Weight Watchers does not offer a program, which includes a diet plan left for the individual to follow. It in fact keeps dieting as part of the plan that includes some other programs also for maintaining the healthy lifestyle in respect to the mental, physical and emotional health.
Weight Watchers not just give a diet sheet in patients hand and ask them to follow, but they provides full advice and information, which is essential to make best choice about one’s healthy diet.
The plans offered by Weight Watchers provide the patient a good level of motivation and support, which is required for the success of entire weight loss program. The philosophy of weight watchers work on precise course of diet plans.
The weight watchers generally offer two different plans, the Core Plan and the Flex Plan.
In the flex plan, the patient is allocated weekly points that depend upon the current weight and on the weight that the patient aims for.
The patient is permitted to eat anything that one wishes to but, within the allocated points. According the weight watchers flex plan, the patient is allotted 35 “flex” points, within which one can eat whatever one wishes to, but that item has to be there in the point list of weight watchers.
The main feature of the core plan is that the points are given on any edible products and one is left with unlimited options of food to eat but within the limit of quantity. The quantity of food that one can take depends upon the point’s score that are on that particular food item. Indeed, this is one of the delicious ways of weight loss.
