Choosing Concealers
Concealer is very useful for hiding under eye circles, blemishes, dark spots, spider veins, scars, birthmarks and pimples.
It is also used for concealing imperfections facial and makes the skin soft and smooth. Concealer is available in the form of creams, tubes and sticks.
Sometimes, cab is used for covering freckles and ruddy areas on the face. It is commonly used for covering the darker spots of the face.
For choosing concealers, usually, select one shade lighter as compared to foundation. But in some cases, some people use concealer in two shades lighter than the foundation.
Do not use concealer which is more light as compared to foundation or do not match with foundation can give the result of over emphasizing spots instead of covering them up. People, who have dry skin, need of this to camouflage on areas like under eye circles.
Always use liquid concealer, as it is good as compared to solid concealer for hiding areas such as scars, bruises and pimples on the face. Cream foundation and power foundation are used like a concealer.
Gently use the concealer by fingertips for getting perfect skin look. And make sure about it is used on the under eye area and outside area of the eyes because it ends up dry and red for a long-term period.
If one uses solid or liquid foundation, one should be used firstly foundation and after this use concealer, but if one uses a cream to powder foundation, use concealer before foundation.
The type of concealer depends on the part of the body which one wants to cover. Always use drier concealer to cover up the face and use creamier concealer to cover delicate areas like under-eye circles.
The different type of concealers with green, pink or white base are not matched with foundation and the skin tone. Always make sure about purchasing a yellow-based concealer according to foundation.
Concealer is the best option for facial imperfections and camouflaging. It will balance the look of a blemish and neutralize. Before buying any type of concealers follow the following tips:
- One can select concealers with one or two shades lighter than foundation and skin tone.
- Choose a concealer to cover the area of the body which one wants to cover. One should use creamier concealer for the sensitive skin like under-eye area. For other skin type, use drier concealer.
- One can leave concealers in green, pink and white and test variations of a yellow-based concealer.
- Before purchasing it, consult the makeup artists to get information about concealers.
