Home-Made Mouthwash
Homemade mouthwash is useful to get fresh breath and bright teeth.
It is the best option to eliminate bad breath and promote gum and mouth health.
There are large numbers of mouthwash available in the market.
One can easily make the mouthwash at home.
How to make mouthwash at home?
Rosemary-Mint Mouthwash
Ingredients:
- A full teaspoon of fresh mint leaves
- A full teaspoon of anise seeds
- 2 ½ cups of mineral water
- A full teaspoon of rosemary leaves
Add all ingredients in boiled water and infuse for about 15-20 minutes. Strain, cool and use like a mouthwash/ gargle.
Baking Soda Mouthwash
- 2 ounces of mineral water
- 1-2 drops of pure peppermint oil
- ¼ teaspoon of Sea Salt or baking soda
- 1 drop of Tea Tree Oil
Mix all ingredients well and pour into an airtight container. This mouthwash is very effective to get refreshing mint taste in mouth and prevent bad breath.
Spearmint Mouthwash
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces Vodka
- 1 teaspoon of aloe Vera gel
- 6 ounces of mineral water
- 4 full teaspoons of liquid glycerin
- About 12-15 drops of spearmint essential oil
Add vodka, aloe Vera gel and glycerin in the boiled water. Leave it to cool for a few minutes. After this mix spearmint oil and shake well. At last pour into the airtight bottle. Use as a mouthwash to get fresh breathes.
Tea Tree Oil Mouthwash
Ingredients:
- 1 full cup of warm water
- ½ teaspoon of Myrrh tincture
- A few drops of mint oil or peppermint oil
- A few drops of Tea Tree oil
Mix all ingredients well and pour into the airtight bottle. Use like a gargle or mouthwash.
Lemon Mouthwash
- 1 cup of mineral water
- ½ cup of plain soda drink
- One full teaspoon of aloe Vera gel
- 4 drops of Vegetable Glycerin
- 10-12 drops of Lemon essential oil
Mix all the ingredients in bowl well. And put into the bottle, before using it shake well. Do not rub lime or lemon and pure lemon juice directly on the teeth.
Unique and effective Homemade Mouthwash Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/8 teaspoon of mild neutral soap powder
- ½ teaspoon of gum Arabic
- ½ teaspoon of glycerin
- One tablespoon of calcium carbonate
- A few drops of peppermint oil
- 1/8 cup of mineral water
Mix all ingredients well in mineral water. Heat and stir for about 5-10 minutes and after this leave for few minutes to cool. All ingredients in this mouthwash are very effective for getting healthy gum and fresh breathe.
Common recipes for homemade mouthwash:
- Take ½ teaspoon of baking soda and add in 8 ounces of mineral water. This is ready to use like a mouthwash.
- Take ½ teaspoon of salt and in about 8 ounces of water. Use as a gargle or mouthwash.
Some breathe fresheners
- Chew fennel seeds for getting fresh breath
- Chew a few leaves of spearmint or peppermint for fresh breath
- One can drink a cup of peppermint tea to prevent bad breath
- Chew fresh parsley to freshen the breath.
